St Blasien has an incredible time from hermits to Benedictines to Jesuits with lovely boarders and when the Benedictines left in – not because Napoleon wish to, but because the Austrian Emperor said so – 1806/1809 there were just a couple of houses in that mark and some handful of inhabitants.
And now? It seems that – well, yes, I am a bit slow, right Biagio? – there is a restaurant which smooths down my gentle palate…
Since 2015 Biagio Mezzero and his family runs that restaurant and hotel. And – surprise, surprise: This is the best restaurant in St. Blasien. That I do write about the restaurant now it’s a shame!
So, Biagio, you can stop now with your really nice Tagliatelle al Salmone, so I will again something else from your menu. Oh, one dish I have to mention as well: Antipasto Frutti di Mare. On a hot summer’s day – well, you ARE in St Blasien if you eat it at Klosterhof – your order a nice bottle of white wine and this Frutti di Mare and you will imagine you were in Italy.

I downloaded there menu and you can checked it already now: Speisekarte Klosterhof 2021.
Here are some pictures of this classy restaurant.
